Google’s CAPTCHA Busted By Spammers

If you are a Gmail user you have probably noticed that your account has begun to receive big volumenes of Spam.

The code CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) has been harmed, which allows the massive creation of fictitious accounts of Gmail, used mainly to distribute Spam.

After code CAPTCHA was harmed recently the attacks against the biggest service of free email of the world have increased in intensity.

The method initially was proven by Hotmail, and now it is the turn of Google.

The Websense Consultants have published a screenshot that shows the form in which Spam distributers manage automatically the system to create email accounts in the system. Until now, Gmail has been considered like a Spam free service, but the situation could change in a moment.

The Spam distributors have apparently eluded the CAPTCHA system protection, a principle that should make sure that the beginnings of sessions are made by humans and not by machines. This becomes possible when asking for itself the user to write some displayed alphanumeric combinations in screen like graphs.
