
Google said that the agreement underlines its commitment to improve the services offered to its users, partners and advertisers in Russia. Google said that acquiring Begun will give advertisers access to a greater number of sites in the network, will give the owners of Web pages that convey more ads on their sites and will give users access to more advertising of more relevant websites.
In its 6 years of existence, ZAO Begun has sought and contextualized ads for advertisers and approximately 40,000 to a network of 143,000 pages in Russian language. Most of the company is Rambler Media, which said it had also signed an additional contract to use the technology in its Google AdSense main portal. Rambler said they would buy the remaining Begun to Bannatyne Ltd. and then what would sell everything to Google. Rambler said it expects to get $ 50 million of the deal.
